The new conflict in the Middle East clearly shows that the West's influence in the world has noticeably diminished. The new geostrategic player - and at the same time the winner of a weakening of the West - is China, which has been systematically expanding its geopolitical influence for years.
Through massive influence on organizations such as the UN, the development of strategic transaction networks such as the "new Silk Road" and its leading role in the BRICS/BRICS+ group, China has consistently expanded its global sphere of influence. In the meantime, the People's Republic feels strong enough to openly challenge the Western-influenced world order - but especially the USA as the established leading power.
Against this background, global tensions are likely to intensify in the coming years, especially with regard to Taiwan. As a result, the world economy is also facing a split into two separate hemispheres ("bifurcation").
These complex interrelationships are analyzed in detail by the FERI Cognitive Finance Institute in the study: "Neue Weltordnung - 'Made in China'".
